4.0 out of 5 starsTHE DEAD CROW5.0 out of 5 stars A captivating read
The Dead Crow kept me captivated. It is a gripping read with lots of plot twists. I like the imagery and the atmosphere created by the streets of Victorian London. I was constantly guessing and second-guessing as to who was behind the murders and which characters were to be trusted if I were in the lead character's shoes. I was impressed with the ending also, but I won't ruin it for anyone who should want to read it. I highly recommend this read.
5.0 out of 5 stars Read in one sitting!!!
A gripping book from start to finish. The writer has done a great job of building a dark, haunting and engaging world. The style of writing reminds me of some of Poe's darker works. The author clearly understands what it takes to draw the reader in from an early stage. An exceptional use of prose throughout. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a dark and dramatic tale. Looking forward to the next book!!
4.0 out of 5 starsTHE DEAD CROW
Ben's first full novel after a myriad of decent short stories. This is a very good, easy to follow read with a few surprise twists towards the end. Good use of London as a location and good historical knowledge of the era. I look forward to the next chapter.
